chert, limestone, and blueschist faces metamorphics
(mainly pumpellyite)
- Higher grade metamorphism
- higher P-T
- Older in age - 60-145 Ma (Jurassic to Paleocene)
- Also deposited in deep sea, probably from turbidity
currents
- Gently to moderately dipping imbricate faults also
present in this belt, indicate compression related to
subduction
